What about after my Irrigation System is Installed?

Following the completion of an Irrigation Installation, you might wonder: "what's next? how do I maintain this system? what if issues arise?". These are valid concerns, but rest assured, there's no need to worry.

This is the kind of situation that reminds you why working with small businesses is the way to go. We have your back. Upon Installation, our team will guide you through what to anticipate in the upcoming years as you continue to irrigate your plants. Should you forget any details, don't worry, as we are always available to promptly address any questions. You can find our contact details at the bottom of this post, so feel free to reach out with any requests or concerns!

Service:

Due to weather changes, pipe activity, or regular wear and tear, a system may require maintenance over its lifespan. If you observe any issues or unusual occurrences, please contact us by phone or email. Our solution usually entails a Torch Irrigation team member visiting the site, diagnosing the problem, and resolving it. The majority of maintenance tasks can be finished in a few hours or less, depending on the issue. We pride ourselves on being timely and professional, and we sincerely want to do the best work we can with every system.

Follow Ups

At Torch, we make sure we've done the best job possible. This is why we include a follow-up shortly after installation to inspect the system and chat with the owner about any concerns or questions within a helpful frame of time.

Winterizations and Start-ups

With the cold weather that British Columbia experiences in Langley, Abbotsford, and the rest of the Lower Mainland, we strongly advise winterization for our clients (see our other blog posts to learn more about winterization). This involves our crew pushing pressurized air through your system in order to prevent any freezing damage, which is the most common cause of breakage during the winter. This is done during the fall, ideally before the weather turns colder.

During the Spring season, it is important to inspect for any damage that may have occurred during winter and to verify the proper functioning of the system. This includes checking every nozzle and zone. Start-ups consist of a thorough walkthrough of the system, segment by segment, to guarantee that all areas requiring water coverage are adequately addressed. While there may be minimal adjustments needed, conducting these checks is beneficial, as starting your system up with our assistance can prevent potential issues in the future and promote the longevity of your Irrigation system.

Warranty

At Torch, we want our customers to have as much peace about their installations as possible. In pursuit of this, we offer a 1 year warranty on anything related to the installation (exceptions include failure to winterize with Torch Irrigation, or damage from other trades). This is offered to take away any stress or worry after the intial instillation.
